Hull clean

Hull clean

Postby Killick69 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 5:06 am

In the past when my boat was slipped, Fenwicks just did the acid wash of the hull above the antifoul. I did not request this and last week when my boat was slipped, it was not acid washed.

What is the best way (what to use?) to do this in the water?

I used one from whitworths and after starting a clean up around the water line had to go back and redo the whole hull as I could see he difference very easily.

I used oxalic acid.. mix a tablespoon of the crystals in a bucket with water and wipe it on then hose it off after a minute or so, cleans it right up

Not sure how eco friendly it is to use while in the water but it works super well. Wear goggles/gloves cause it's acid!
