Idea is to sell shares in his boat and then cruise South. Slightly unusual approach. Anyone know about this?

The five would have to be lepricorns! I find even with three aboard we start bumping into each other if we are on the boat for more than a couple of days. Where would you even sleep five? Sleeping on deck is not an option down south.

The website says "Five people can comfortably have an adventure on a Top Hat". I agree with that statement and would like to present why it is both logical and rational. : ).

Consider the terms 'concurrent' and 'consecutive'. If the five people were on the boat at different times (consecutive usage), then I believe they could be comfortable. Five people but only one or two being on the boat at any one time could certainly have a comfortable adventure. Then they swap with the next crew and so on. See, logical and rational .

At the moment, I would not like to put even two people onto Windchaser as the main cabin is full of tools and stuff and the v-berth is a reno disaster area. Maybe what I need is some lepricorns to come and help me get the work done faster.

Greetings all-Like all boat related things my original intentions have long since been overlaid with revised plans of many layers.
My Mk1 is moored at Kettering (in the company of two other MK1's) and the planned attempt to establish a shared ownership arrangement vetoed by SWMBO on the basis that the vessel is too small to fit more than a kid and first mate or two aboard and the administratve effort to large to justify the overall effort.
Having rebuilt the engine (sucessfully) and remounting it (unsucessfully; sill trying to get the line-up sorted) I have been sailing on and off the mooring and exploring the wonderfully protected and picturesque channel.
So my current plan is to find fellow Top Hatters to collaborate in venturing further afield in a flotilla of fellow funseekers.
I'll keep the message board up to date with this as it develops.

I am still planning to go south to Tasmania in early 2013. At this stage I will probably go around anti- clockwise.

At the moment I am redoing the electrical panel as the old version consumed to many amps.
Will install a new 100w solar panel, add more insulation to the cool box, install new sheet tracks, new front engine mounts and do a major service on the diesel Nanni. That will mean I'm ready to go again.

I have collected heaps of info on cruising around Tasmania and will spend the next few months reviewing it!!

The Mk1 is up and running now at last.
I am very keen to collaborate in cruising in company.
There are an amazing amount of sheltered anchorages and deserted beaches in the south east.
So lets make some plans
