From posts on Face Book I think Rob is departing Broome today.

Its a big one, Broome to Dampier.....about 385 nm and around 4 days sailing.

yep the winds are not favourable at all, the long term forecast is showing southerly winds for the next 7 days and that's pretty much what I've had here since arrival. Apart from hauling out and coming back next year the only other option is to beat my way down the coast. So what's that about 1500nm on the rumb line so about 5000nm of tacking. Not a good outlook is it. Oh well one leg at a time. It's about 520nm to NWcape so we'll see how that goes. I'll be glad to get out of this anchorage that's for sure. Tidal flow is a pain and about 1/2 a mile from shore the seas are sloppy and in my little boat that makes it hard to cook/ live. I might as well be beating into 20kts eating beans.
Got stores and water for 30days and 80lt fuel so we'll see where that gets me.
catch ya next time I have some "G"

Well these charts show what happened today.

Rob is anchored North of Lagrange Bay. A bit rolly at high tide when a swell is running! :(

This morning Rob was having wind direction problems.
Willy Weather showed north around to west winds today.
Tomorrow should bring ESE to WNW.
Then much the same until Wednesday with WSW going to Southerly around noon.

Have heard that Rob reported he was "Buggered" last Friday, otherwise OK.

Things are a bit easier at present as he has S to SE winds around 10 knots.
You can see this in the progress over night.
This chart from daybreak [his] this morning.
