Hi all, i bought this MK1 at christmas, theres other posts floating around about this boat,
Had all the intensions of cleaning up and going sailing but since the new year have been working away and seems i will be moving back to sydney for work.
So i'm not using it and would like to see it go to someone who will use her.
Been out to her twice in 6 months, both times to do cleaning.
Was antifouled at xmas, have a survey from the same time, she needs more TLC but thought would advertise here for a couple of weeks before i see a broker as i don't have the time to keep running back to show anyone.
$4500.00 If you know someone who is looking for a MK1, as you could guess it will be listed for more when it's with a broker as they want to make money, may try Ebay first but thats a pain aswel.
Contact me through here i will check, or contact me on 0428880105 M-F business hours only.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for those who called have finally been able to get up and take some photos.
I can send vis msg on phone or email if required.
Also forgot that the boat comes with Tillerpilot, Raytheon Autohelm AH800, 27mhz and uhf radios, v sheet, dinghy.
Have taken heaps of photos if needed.
Also have come across a 8hp Yamaha long shaft o/b for $500 in good condition, offered to the buyer if they require it.
Thanks,
David.

Great news,
Out sailing on Friday 16th I saw this boat being towed to the south part of Lake Mac with a very happy looking owner on board.
I hope to see it on the lake and I'd be keen to see how it is going.
I hope they keep in touch with the web site.

yes this is the very happy owner. will be sailing the re named top hat "valdor 4.0" out of south lake macquarie sailing club mainly friday twilight and some lake cruising. very happy with boat just needs some tlc, time and a couple of sails so i am in the market for a second hand decent main. the rest including the furler are in good nick but will be sent to nifty stephens at hood belmont for some repairs etc.
still cannot believe i got it so cheap. sold my endeavour 26 to build new house (completed earlier this year)and to get this so soon and cheap was meant to be.
if anyone can also give me some advice on what genoa for what wind conditions it would be greatly appreciated.
Have already got some great information from this web site. look forward to more posts.
Neil.

Welcome aboard Neil, hope you get a lot of joy from your Top Hat. A number 2 (120-130%) seems to be the most common furler sail for a Top Hat. They are great sea boats and hopefully when you have her sorted you will be able to discover this aspect of Top Hat ownership as well as playing on the lake.
Hope to catch you on the water some time,
Mark

Congratulations Neil,
You passed me on Friday off Wangi Pt I was on Felicite. The green Top Hat.
I had the No 2 poled out.
I have sailed it on the No 2 only in 25kts of breeze and it is totally balanced. No Main.
I have only the second reef in and reef around 15kts, the boat is balanced and just heeled nicely.
There is another post comparing the Endeavour 26/27 and Top Hats, it would be good to get your views on the comparison. I sail on Harbinger (Endeavour 26) with Jim in summer.
Bear is planning a get together of boats on Lake Mac soon. You'd be very welcome to join us. Stay tuned.
See you on the water.
