buy local v/s buy from the net-Yanmar

Hi I am planning an overhaul of a GM10 and weighing up the benefits of buying from Marine Pro etc or locally.

Has anyone else crunched the numbers and risks along these lines?

I've bought a bunch of bits for my 2GM from Marinepro and was very happy with price and service. Not as much as a kit of reco parts, but the more you buy the more you save. The blokes on the Compass site give Minard's in NSW a very good rap, so maybe service offsets price there. But here in Vic, the dealer on my side of PPB charges outrageous prices, so onto the net......
