I ended up buying a 10 metre sling based caving ladder. from ebay I will ad some lines to the bottom and a spreder at the top and will use this to replace the antenna. on Auriga. i also run a saftey line.
Doen t come wit a bag but thats easy to fix..

I have to go up the mast too..sadly to change the light bulbs. ...where did you get the ladder from????

I made a sling ladder which might be similar to one for caving. I found it near impossible to use, as it did not remain neatly in front of the mast but slid off sideways, despite being tensioned top-to-bottom. It is back in the garage! Job not done.

I was searching for ladders also. Looked at ascenders/descenders, caving ladders, mast steps and the like..eventually went to Google and made my own... $20 for 30meters of 25mm webbing, some electrical conduit ($5 for 4metres)for step treads and a carribeaner($7)....works a treat just to change a light globe. ...will attach some pictures. ..my next addition is to add some sail slides to hold it into the mast.
