Just found this on ebay, its generating a lot of interest, 1261 visits so far!

If you read some of his replies to questions, he doesn't give bidders much of a chance to see the boat...... Diesel removed, transom hung outboard...... Has to be worth at least $6k.

People love a bargain. Probably rigging needs replacement as well but it does show there are a lot a folk out there aspiring to own a Top Hat.

No inside photos....may not be a pretty sight, as its been left for a couple of years, new upholstery would be a given. My main concern would be the rudder of these boats that are left too long, barnacles grow around the rudder & if someone tries to force the tiller over, somethings gotta give. And water inside rotting bulkheads, but you never know, maybe its watertight.

If the outboard was in it then it would be worth a look but without the outboard or at least an outboard I don't see a lot of value.

there are a few nice ones on boat sales, including what may be an actual 27

Yes that's a Top Hat 27, in fact one of only four built.

Been for sale for quite a while. Personally I don't like it with only one small window on each side.

There appears to be only 5 bidders and only 3 now active. 1943 visits to the page!!!!

Well with about 5 minutes to go someone new to the auction swooped in and she was sold...
