went sailing today

My son and I went sailing from Parsley Bay to Refuge bay today. Had a good time, but a lil hairy at times. We looked set for a run home to parsley Bay, but then things got hectic and we had a devil of a time getting the sails down when the wind became most unpredictable and we decide to motor the rest of the way.

You picked the wrong day! I took Storm petrel off shore yesterday(Sunday) and had a brilliant sail out near that moored container ship(5nm off), back to Barrenjoey and home. 15-20 knots wind, choppy but manageable seas and brilliant sunshine all afternoon. I agree that sometimes when things get silly it pays to reduce sail and slow it all down. Look forward to catching you on the water.

Congratulations John!

I'm sure it felt good to be out on the water after all the work you have been doing.

All the best,

Tom

Spot on, it felt real good. We are determined to get in as much time sailing and overnighting as possible
