Night Cap has 3 sails (main, jib and genoa), all with different sail numbers. What are the rules regarding sail nos? Any suggestions as to what I should do to correct this?

Sail numbers are discussed in the Events post for the November r2010 regatta on this site.

G'Day John,
Sail numbers are allocated by yachting NSW and are only used if you're racing. You also must have the club you are registered with and the sail number on your stern.
If you're not racing you don't have to worry about it. Don't try and remove them they will do more damage to the sail than good.
It just shows that you have many friends in sailing that can give you spare sails! Perhaps you could also try and get a different number on each sail, that'd be something different.

Happy sailing, Greg.

Additional to sail numbers thread, some numbers have a letter prefix.
MH for Middle Harbour.
PH for Port Hacking
M for Lake Macquarie.
Here is the list of prefixes for sail numbers in australia.
