Anyone entering their Tophat into this years Sydney Hobart?

Wonder what it would take to even meet safety standards to get to starting line...

Smallest entrant this year appears to be a 35 footer... followed by a few Sydney 38'ers.

At least we wouldn't need to run the engine to wind the winches.... and the keel wouldn't fall off if we hit a sunfish,,,

Rob - that's funny... we also stand a chance of the keel staying on for the duration as well.

According to wikipedia Smallest Yacht: 27 ft (8.23m) Klinger (NSW) 1978

I have had the pleasure of spending a few hours on Skandia's Wildthing a couple of years back, as a bit of a corporate day. Absolutely amazing experience... was blown away with the canting keel, the weight of the boat...
