Hi
I am a new member in the process of purchasing what I think is a mark 3 top hat. Current owners are at booker bay on the central coast and bought the boat from lamoore about 5 years ago. ( boat outboard, white hull and green stripe, 2 window cutouts covered with single tinted plexy) does anyone know this boat and is there any way of finding out year of manufacture? What problems should I be aware of with second hand tophats? I have seen the boat out of the water and despite some play in the top rudder bush all seemed in order. No obvious signs of blistering. Chain plates are secure, bilge is dry. Rigging is of unknown date and sail wardrobe is minimal (main and furler) so if anyone can help with an idea of cost of rigging and availability quality second hand sails it would be a help.
Thanks
Phil

you can find second hand sails at www.yachtequipment.com.au and if its not
satisfactory you send it back within seven days and receive full refund! No
real inherant problems with TH's appart from rudder bush and pintle
wear.{which you would expect for their age}Roughly 1000 bucks to replace
standing rigging !
Good luck
