SF primary winches

Postby rob.lovelace » Thu Jul 29, 2010 10:10 am

I'm looking purchasing some self tailing winches, I live in Victoria. Can anyone recomended a brand and retailer for me? I've found with some things its cheaper to purchase from a store rather than online when freight is added expecially heavy things.

Hi Rob

As an aside a friend of mine buys a fair bit of stuff through Defender.com in the states... he finds still a fair bit cheaper even on big items that Whitworths and Co.

Have a look

Depending on the exchange rate can be a good way of buying

went with
http://www.catalinadirect.com/index.cfm ... rentCat=12
list price was $543 us shipping was a whopping $295us (cheaper via post) still came up a bit cheaper than I could get them here. Both winches and a alloy winch handle $1600au at my door. ouch.
