I would like to fit a bimini to the Top hat Mk 2 I have just purchased in Lake Macquarie for the voyage to what will be her home port of Mooloolaba and would appreciate it if anyone can recommend someone in the Lake Macquarie area who can make it and if anyone has the dimensions for it. I would just use aluminium rather than stainless as it is just a sun cover. I also had a dodger, bimini and fully encloded cockpit made when I was living on a boat in Canada and it withstood alot including cyclonic force winds. so aluminium rather than stainless is just fine and alot cheaper. while here I am also chasing a trisail if anyone has one. WOudl appreciate any input, Cheers Peter

I'm also thinking of installing a bimini on Blue Moon.
Dont have a backstay to get in the way :D
Have you considered the OceanSouth one's available from bias or whitworth's?
Anyone installed one of these units?
the problem is the heavier duty one they call the Whitewater, only comes in 1230mm long..seems way too short & will only cover half the cockpit at best.
They have a lighter duty one at 2200mm long, its still fairly pricey, & dont want to fork out the $$ if its not up to the job??
Anyone had any experience with these?
cheers

G'day Shaun, Phillip installed one of the Ocean South on SEAKA and he has emailed me the description of how he fitted it - if you provide your email to me I will send that to you. my email is phurrey@tpg.com.au

Cheers
