Hi Philip,

Congrats on the Top Hat. I can't help on the history of Sylth, I didn't know anything about the Top Hats until I bought one 6 weeks ago. I am very happy with my purchase, and took it out to sea for the first time yesterday, heading up Pittwater and out of the heads to see how she handles in bigger waters ... I was really impressed.

In answer to your question, about posting photos; Below the text entry box are tabs labeled 'Options' and 'Upload attachment'. Select 'Upload attachment' then Browse and upload the photo, next, select 'place inline'. This will add a line of code in your text box. When you click preview, it will show you how the photo will look once submitted.

Hope this helps ... Maggsy

Hi Philip & Welcome,

Sylph sure is a beaut looking Top Hat 8-) !

I cant help with the history of Sylph, maybe Greg (Felicite, user name Dolphin i think) who's on Lake Macquarie may know something.
On the main Messege Board Index, we've started a category titled "Top Hat Video", where you can post a link to any Top Hat video you have uploaded to YouTube or similar.
I've taken the liberty of putting your other photo of Sylph in the photo gallery amongst the other MkIII's. If you'd like to create your own album, you'll have to also register there (on the photo gallery page), & once authorised by admin you'll be able to add photos.
cheers

G'Day Phillip and Shaun,
Philip, I can't help you with the details of Sylph as I haven't been on the lake long but Andrew from LMYC may be able to as he does boat maintenance. He owned a Top Hat named Kareela.
She sure does look like an extremely fine example of a MKIII. I guess I better get the polish and varnish onto Felicite.
Congratulations on a good buy.
Greg.

Hi Phillip

Sylph looks very tidy.

One thing I have been wanting to do to our Mk3, is add a Lexan Hatch like that in your photo it looks fantastic... I would love to see internal photos as to how the old hatch has been covered over...

Looks fantastic!

she is a well kept lady.the woodwork is beauitiful,
the companionway cover protects the ropes & the wooden rails too.
