HI Hatters,
I got a few pm here and just responded and as i don’t often use this site anymore thought you guys might be interested in what i’m up to. I sold sundowner and bought a westsail 28 which took me two year’s refitting as it was a bit of a mess. She’s good in the heavy weather as that was my issue with the tophat, although a great little sea boat they are rather lively in boystrous seas and it’s difficult for an old man like me to get around. I’m currently cruising south pacific and am in Tonga at present after crossing the tasman and spending a few months in NZ. I’m still learning how to sail and this boat has hank on sails which in hindsight aren’t much fun at sea in squalls. I miss my tophat she was so fast in light airs and so easy to handle, I could spin her around on a sixpence, over and over and over. Anyway I have a fb page Voyages of Sans Pareil that I kind of blog on now if anyone wants a laugh. Again thanks to this site and all the help you guys have given me,
Rob Lovelace
