By now most of you who own a mooring in NSW will have received your letter requesting proof of service by the 22 May.
I have just been informed that this time it's for real !!!!
The fines they talk about will be applied if you do not send in proof of a service in the last 12 months by the 22 May.

In addition I believe that the 28 days away from your mooring rule without informing RMS will generate a letter which may mean you could loose your mooring!!!!

They are also moving, at long last, on unseaworthy vessels in Sydney.

So all that we have been complaining about with moorings is about to happen,

No letter yet for me, but I have received my mooring license renewal. It seems like they've done a fair bit of cleaning up in Careel Bay, but there are still a few questionably seaworthy boats floating around (just)....

They are working their way through all moorings Mike, Ministerial order apparently.

They're doing Belmont Bay in Lake Macquarie.
Already they have about 6 moorings held in shallow water north of the yacht club. Several holes have appeared in the moored boats.
That should read, several spaces have appeared in the mooring. Of course Maritime are not going around putting holes in boats, but you never know.

On Periwinkle a few weeks ago when Maritime were checking moorings on the south side of Lake Macquarie Yacht Club. Asked if I had emailed a servicing cert; confirmed I had by the due date; was thanked for keeping the mooring in good order; then moved onto a few of the nearby mooring minders/nesting sites.

They have been through lower QLD like a dose of salt. Very few boats moored in some locations and they have removed heaps of wrecks, only seen two so far.

Gday Neil, I'm on the south side of the club. I think they told us via letter that it all had to be up to scratch by the 22/5/19.
Havn't had any problems so far apart from the fact the mooring contractor can't keep up with the demand!
