I see on Gumtree that Mad Hatter is up for sale. It's listed as a Top Hat 27. Back in Jan 2018, we had a member, Scottedmonds, who posted he had bought Mad Hatter.

The 'for sale' advert on Gumtree gives a link to more info including one to a survey done in Dec 2016. http://www.cpyachtsales.com/uploads/6/1/1/4/61145825/tophat27.pdf
However, as I read the survey, I see Mad Hatter referred to by the marine surveyor as being a Top Hat 25. Quote: ". . . an inspection was carried out on a Top Hat 25 sloop known as 'Mad Hatter'. "
Its length overall in the advertisment is given as 27 foot (8.2 m) but in the survey is listed as 7.64 metres, which is 25 feet.
From the look of the boat in the photos, she does not appear to be a 25. So she is likely to be a 27. However the surveyor calling it a "25" is confusing.
Looking at the photos and assuming Mad Hatter is actually 27 foot long, which is an extra two feet in length (and one foot in width), how come it does not look any bigger than a 25? The interior design is different to that of a standard 25 but does not seem more spacious.
Is it just a photo thing making the 27 footer not seem any bigger than a 25? Or does the design of the 27 not make use of space quite as well as the 25?
cheers
