Blue mountain bushwalk then back to Sydney for martial arts training that night means today I am flat on my back in bed reading old sailing mags. (Cruising Helmsman. March 2006. )" Phillip Bowman of Stewarts river in NSW is the winner of the CH subscription competition!''

Seems that Phillip is a bit of an all round winner.

Think he scored a chartplotter from that, that he still uses today

Actually I've won that twice, yes twice!

First was a chart plotter with no charts that was soon superseded by technology.
Second was a camera and a movie camera.

I used all three in my trip north in 2011 but all three are now considered primitive as far as what we can do today even with our phones!!!!!
All have been retired but they were very welcome when I won them.

Today I tend not to enter that comp as I might win again

Sent from White Cliffs, land sailing!

Qld. Toppy for sale.

That's where the old echo sounder was viewed from. It was one of those flickering ones, didn't work when I got Seaka :D
