Too Many Sails

Too Many Sails

Hi All TopHatters,

Apologies if this is not meant to be an advertising site but my mark 2 Top Hat Tawny Port came with a Vberth chock full of sails and I have changed to a furling headsail and new main with boom bag and lazy jacks and I am determined to pursue the simple life.

The surplus to requirement sail wardrobe is fitted with snap piston style rigging which can't be used on my current set up and I have no where to store them.

Here's what I've got:

A No1 Genoa (Halsey LidGard) that is of that higher performance material that looks in pretty good condition. It has clear fold marks from being stored but doesn't have any tears or mends.
A No 2 Genoa (Dacron) old but still serviceable
A No 3 Genoa (Dacron) as above
A sail in a bag label no 4 Genoa (probably a storm jib) Dacron too and oldest of the sails but still in one piece
A brand new storm jib which doesn't look like it has been used at all
A spinnaker, a little patched but okay
A blooper, also a little patched but okay

They are all in bags that are also in good condition.

Here's the deal: $200 towards my other nautical bills and they are all yours, as long as you can organise to get them from a Melbourne address and you take all the sails away. I would guess the new storm jib makes it good deal on its own,

Good sailing,
Brandon
