Single window lacks structural integrity of the three small windows. Both in terms of support for the cabin top and wrt to wave damage, so I would go for the little three little windows rather than the big long one.......

Agree - and our mark 3 - has the 3 windows... but the single long window does have a certain "rockstar" appeal.

Your right Keith, I don't like the structural integrity of the long window that's why I made a fitting to put a storm board over it. Pictures coming soon.
But the long window makes it look fast even when its going slow!
I'll add a Jeremy Clarkson here, the Mark 1 is the Fred Hollows of yachts, bit rough around the edges but its a good worker, gets the job done whereas the Mk 3 is the Dr Katrina Warren (Vet.) still good at their job but a bit more refined and better to look at. Don't you think?

Being the owner of a "rough around the edges" MKIII, I can't really see where there is a comparison?

Dr Katrina Warren she isn't, but you're right about looking fast sitting on the mooring. I chose the MKIII because that's all there was in the price range, and I'd hazard a guess that if all things were equal in fit, condition and inclusions, you would all choose the one that you wanted to pay for, regardless of whether it was a pretty MK1, an attractive MKII or an absolutely gorgeous MKIII ;)

To use another J Clarkson quote... On the Mark III "Think of it as Angelina Jolie. You’ve heard she’s mad and eats nothing but wallpaper paste. But you would, wouldn’t you?”

Next we'll be talking about which is the fastest colour.... :o

Bear don't you mean - "Third time is the charm"

Just been cruising through Yachthub, dreaming / avoiding more productive tasks...a near daily dream for me... I don't discriminate I look at all the tophats, regardless of the Mk. As an aside there are some cheap boats out there at the moment.

My Mark III has the go faster single window on the outside, but on the inside there are only 4 small portholes on each side for offshore integrity. Best of both worlds .... just wish it wasn't so dark inside!!!!! :?
