1970 Top Hat

hi everyone- been keeping an eye on your group for a while, finally got around to joining. i have an all timber tophat(iroko/mahogany)built around 1970 in SA, is there many other moulded timber tophats out there? i had the pre purchase survey done by howard peachey who was very kind to track down and give me a copy of the yachting world design supplement from 1963 which also includes some interesting remarks from the designers. i have scanned these if any one is interested-haven't figured how to put them up on here yet.
ps some running rigging was not on the boat when i got her, i have a couple of chutes for her, what setup works best on these, do they work ok with just sheets and tweakers or should i run a downhaul for the pole. what size sheets- i thought maybe 8mm? what have you all been using? sorry about long post
