A little triva
The only differance between a MK 1 and MK 3 hull was the back of the keel was narrowed to allow more water between the rudder and keel to help reduce cavation when inboard engines were installed.

John,

I have been researching the history of Top Hats and would love to get a copy of the plans you have. I already have 2 sheets, the Mk1 sail and rig plan (drawers details were stuck on & did not copy and the rig shown is not the one we use today) and the deck plan for the Mk0, plan No S173/10 of 1963

Your info about the hull difference is interesting as the only variation we had up till now was the shallow draft details and the obvious diferences around the propellor depending, I think, on the types of stern glands used over time.

Do you know where the plans came from and was a Top Hat built from them?
