Winter solstice

Postby Dolphin » Mon Jun 18, 2012 11:37 pm

For those that are interested, the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere is on 20th June 2012 at 23:09 GMT. That's Thursday 21st June at 09:09 aust eastern standard time.
Can't wait for that!

Ah yes, must get my wolf bane, eye of newt and wing of bat ready to brew up the solstice feast!

Winter surf has been great, but the sailing weather isn't as good as last year. Here's hoping for a great spring season!

Yes Mike,
I went out last night to Rathmines. Danced around the flickering anchor light naked with 73 virgins, Nah it was only 72.
I wasn't too cold. The wind did come up last night though. Went for a short sail and came home for lunch. Much warmer welcome at home than Felicite could give me.
See how much warmer it was this morning !
