Any thoughts on location? Wangi Workers again, or try for something different?

Are we discussing where to spend the night?

My choice would be anywhere other than Toronto.
I live in Toronto and would prefer to explore elsewhere.
Also if a North Easterly it can get bumpy.

Valentine sounds interesting as does the Island and Swansea.
Could we move around a bit?

But you all know the lake much better.

Very excited Diana and Sea Lady
Looking forward to meeting more Top Hatters. :D

Can I suggest that you stay on a wharf somewhere overnight so that people that don't have a boat can join you.
This means that more people can see Shaun get the second Order of the tipping dingy, I'll provide the dinghy! Or see Wayne fill the V Berth with 200litres of fresh water

By the sounds of it Shaun and Phillip are coming down by road.

Felicite wont be there, we were away in the top end and Broome for two months and we're building a deck and laundry on the back of the house so the boat's not going to be there. The crew will.

The Lake Mac Yacht Club has an excellent site for most weathers except westerly. Its about $35 for an overnight tie up on the wharf. There is a restaurant but it has changed hands several times since I went there so I can't vouch for it, its probably good. The club is close to Coles Aldi and Woolies for reprovisioning. More often than not these sailaways are washed out or blown out so having road access means its more flexible and accessible.

Murrays Beach has a little cafe and is close to Pulbah Island if you want to spend the night there. A bushwalk is a must if you stay at Pulbah but beware the Razor Clams when stepping out of the dinghy. Wangi south side has a wharf and is also close to Pulbah. Wangi RSL has a great breakfast cooked by the gardener, bacon and egg rolls yummm.

So many options. It'd be great to catch up again

Greg

Greg,

Shaun in Blue Moon and I in Seaka are sailing down......

     :D :D :D :D :D :D :P :P :P :P :P :P

We plan to leave Camden Haven on Monday [30th Jan] to Crowdy, Tuesday to Port Stephens, Wednesday to Newcastle and into the lake on Thursday.

We will head for home on Monday. If there are NE'ers we will probably be motor/sailing overnight.

Looking forward to meeting all you Lakers again when we get there :D

Looking forward to it
