Ok Easter it is.

Friday 18th to Monday 21st April 2014.
We can have people come for the entire long weekend or just some of it.
Toys such as kayaks, stand up paddle boards, snorkels, fins, hammocks etc are most welcome.

No racing. No scavenger hunt.
Showering is easy as Mother Nature has provided a natural waterfall.

Choccie Easter Eggs are compulsory as is the fancy dress party on Saturday.
Theme ---- of course - TOP HAT

:D

I am sure we can arrange accommodation on other boats if required.

Plus

Non Top Hatters are welcome as are their boats.
I have no problem opening this up to other boat owners as we can OHHH and AHHH at our superior yachts and peek at theirs for ideas.

ALL WELCOME I am sure we can show them how to have a proper party.

Hey Di
Why not hold it at the local marina ? Plenty of boats there and no problems rafting up ? :o

Hi Bear,
I am not quite sure how we could work that.

There is a local train station and a number of marinas.
None to my knowledge with lots of extra space and who would allow rafting up.

Certainly the marina closest to the train station looks full and they are very strict with visiting boats.
I have got into trouble leaving my dinghy beside another boat when visiting.

Does anyone know if such a thing would be possible near Dangar Island?

There is a regular ferry from the train station.
The Island is lovely to explore.
Public toilets, a café, licenced club etc.
No cars.

I will try and make some enquiries if we think that would make a difference.

Easter is approaching and to date no one has sent a positive RSVP.

I will set an RSVP date of this Friday 4th April.
If there is no interest then that gives me more time to arrange something else.

I hope we can have a get together.

Sailed over to the Basin late yesterday afternoon against a fresh southerly and spent a very enjoyable evening with some friends who raced up during the day from Sydney ( Sydney Amatuer's annual Sydney to Pittwater race). A very comfortable dinner aboard a Spencer 32 followed by rum nightcaps on the beautiful timber yawl Maris. The Basin was getting very crowded when I left this morning(Good Friday), with just about every mooring taken. I do not think Easter is a good time for sailaways unless you like a lot of company.

Happy Easter to all,

Mark
