I got rather sun burnt today!
You see, John of Airoloen had his new dinghy out for his first try in it.
Things had gone well, but after visiting me on Seaka, John returned to Airoloen.
The next thing I hear is this rather sharp loud call of “PHIL! PHIL!
Popping up on deck I see that John is hanging onto the NEW dinghy.
But he’s in the water!!
Quickly jumping into my old workhorse of a dinghy, [without a shirt!] I took out after John chasing him on the fast flowing incoming [luckily] tide. After gathering up gear such as his hat and oars we drifted onto the sand bank in the middle of the Camden Haven River where John reboarded his dinghy. So while John baled out his dinghy I slowly towed him towards the shore where the
current is less and we would have an easier return to our Top Hats.
So that’s how I got sun burnt today, but that’s also how John of Airoloen joined the
“Order of the Tipping Dinghy”
Now I do believe that we have several other members who belong to this order,
so please welcome your newest member!
PS. I promised John that I would only tease him today!
